 Cool Mod: You need to start slow and be very progressive about dating ethics and waifu selection. I started imagination-dating a few waifus at a time, like they were on a gameshow, getting to know them and making up things their developments didn’t cover to suit my tastes. (Basically being a fandom faggot, but at the time the word fandom wasn’t part of the internet lexicon… so I guess at the time I was just a regular faggot)

 Over time though, you’ll have sampled all the parts of many waifus, and then you’ll decide to conglomerate them into a single entity of unrealistic expectations.

 This is good though, because the way Jap character industries operate, causes them to continually remix and refine and recombinate waifu taipus to eventually create literally one for every possible set of behaviors and looks for every conceivable waifu taste.

 So strap on your anime-watching boots because it’s gonna be a long night.

 Now, your “headcanon” is paramount to developing a relationship with your waifu. For example, my “headcanon” of Samus (a solid standby waifu) is that she’s an adorably grumpy silent softie. This is in stark contrast to the dumb vapid horseshit storyline they’ve paired her with in recent games. But my “headcanon” carefully ignores all that through the power of obsessive delusion. But I dumped Samus a few years ago. We still hang out and she watches me eat cheetohs, but it just wasn’t meant to be.

 Don’t be discouraged dumping a waifu if you find a better waifu in the same vein. And don’t feel bad if you start dating the sister character of a waifu you previously had. Waifus are all-forgiving and act as capacitant punching bags for all your selfish fantasies.

 The final decision for your ultimate Waifu may lead you back to your roots, for example, I finally settled on an adorably snotty 80’s princess taipu named Biiko Daitokuji, her design predates most archetypes so she’s even a little easier to “headcanon” into whatever I feel like at the time. My lawyers tell me that I’m too old and emotionally bankrupt to re-waifu anymore, so I’ll stick with her.
